video wall software

CHOREOGRAPHER Video Wall software is a user-friendly software application that enables easy configuration, 'setup and save' of multiple computing scenarios running on 9X Media video data wall controllers.

9X Media offers 3 comprehensive lines of video wall controllers ranging from our output only 9X-DS (Digital Signage) Video Wall Controller series designed for digital signage and corporate presentations to the 9X-SD (Standard Def) Video Wall Controller series to the powerful 9X-HD (High Def) Video Wall Controller series capable of running high performance network operation centers and command and control centers.

The 9X Media family of video wall controllers operate on the Windows XP Pro operating system. Our interface looks like any other windows XP program and requires absolutely no programming to operate and can be operated by anyone capable of running a typical windows program.

Our family of input cards receive: HD component, VGA, DVI, Composite, S-Video, and HDMI signals and route them to a bus that transports the video source directly to the output cards without the video signals ever going down into the system bus. This enables our controllers to handle literally hundreds of video signals without overloading the system CPU.

Once the video signals arrive at the output cards, the Choreographer software provides you with an interface that allows you to open an inlay window, select a source from the menu, enter the source information type (component, composite, etc) via drop down menus, size and position the inlay window and place the source onto the wall.

Also, because our controllers are Windows based you can also load any windows application onto the 9X Media controller open any windows program using our software and sizing it as needed onto the wall.

The user can interactively move and size the application windows. The user interface can be displayed on a network connected PC as well as on the display wall itself or on an extra control screen connected to the 9X Video Wall controller. The number of networked operators is not restricted by Video Wall Manager and individual seats may be purchased per user.

The 9X Media Video & Data Wall Manager displays the entire wall layout in its local application window. The position and size of each window on the video wall is displayed in the application window.

Media Video Manager CHOREOGRAPHER provides for saving specific wall layouts enabling the ability to be re-called when required. There is an area of the application around the desktop where windows can be dragged allowing them to be manipulated without being displayed on the video wall enabling a seamlessly professional presentation of multiple inputs, information and video.

FOUR rules to remember:
•Any video or XP program window can be positioned onto any screen of the video wall
•Up to 16 inlay windows can be placed onto any one screen of the wall
•Any inlay window can be scaled to span any portion of the overall wall
•And any combination of the 3 rules apply

Save up to 256 of your most used configuration for 1 touch recall

So you have your inlay windows sized and positioned, you have your computer feeds where you want them, you have several windows programs running and you want to create another configuration of inlay windows, now what?

Our Choreographer software enables you to save up to 256 pre-sets. Nearly all our customers use this feature. It is as simple as going clicking on File, Save as and then naming the file which goes to your windows desktop. You can name it whatever you want and any time you click on that Icon Choreographer repopulates the screen system with every video feed and windows program you had running when you saved it.

Let’s say you have 100 video cameras feeding into the HD6400 and you want to view those inputs in groups of 25. All you need to do is set up 4 inlay windows each showing 25 feeds at a time. Then anytime you click on one of the inlays Choreographer will automatically bring up 25 feeds in about 1.5 seconds.

As an optional feature, the Choreographer Remote can be loaded onto as many windows machines as needed. Up to 9 at a time can access the Choreographer server package from any network or internet connection from anywhere in the world and perform all of the tasks in terms of putting content up to the video wall as you can do from the mouse and keyboard of the controller. The remote access user even sees a limited bandwidth image of the entire wall to give them confirmation of what is on the wall and the changes they have executed.

Choreographer Remote also enables the remote users to establish pre-sets onto their computer enabling them to set pre sets and recall them at will. Envision 30 remote users of a command center all with VGA screens feeding directly into the our controller with Choreographer enabled and having the ability to send the content from their system to the Choreographer server software and recalling their pre-set which scales the content of their computer to cover the entire video wall.
